Turn your Thoughts into a Big Idea

It's basically a science fair for Class 8 to class 12 students from schools in India! xP
All you have to is create something unique in one of the given fields and win a whole lot of knowledge and cool stuff! It promotes and nurtures science and scientific research among young Indian innovators. It recognises and rewards outstanding projects. It provides a platform for winning students to represent India at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world’s largest international pre-college science competition, held annually in the U.S. (basically a sponsored trip to attend ISEF with a chance to win the Grand Prize!!)

Each year, research-based science projects by young students, across 17 subject categories—are reviewed by an eminent jury comprising of scientists and domain experts. Then, the short-listed entries are showcased at the annual IRIS National Fair.

Winners from these fairs are invited to regional mentorship camps and offered guidance on participation in IRIS. With this, IRIS strives to foster the next generation of innovators.

September/October - Receipt of Project Entries
October - Project shortlisting
December - IRIS National Fair
January to April - Nurturing Camp
May  - ISEF

World School Debating Championship

It's basically voicing your opinions on a grand scale in a structured manner! xP The World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC) is the World Cup of competitive school debating , where high schoolers have the unique opportunity to represent their countries and compete against other national teams to be crowned the World Champions! ISDS is responsible for selecting the Indian team to compete at WSDC. In 2020, WSDC will be held at Mexico between July 7th – July 17th. This tournament gives students a unique exposure to different cultures around the world and encourages them to create networks that last them forever.
